Stopped in for lunch after visiting the Lincoln Museum. The owner greeted us and was very welcoming. Food was great. I had the Gettysburger and it was cooked perfectly. For my side, I chose the coleslaw, which the owner said was prepared like his memaw always made it. Well it was just like I make it too; so of course, I liked it. Waitress was attentive and the decor was pleasing. Will visit again when in the area.

Such an amazing cozy spot. The atmosphere is so comforting and relaxed. The food was absolutely amazing. The fried green tomatoes are the best, haven't had them this good since my grandmother made them. The staff was super attentive, my glass never got half full and we were checked to make sure we didn't need anything. Truly a great place to visit. The hot brown was amazing and the burger was really good especially with the fried green tomatoes. I highly recommend checking them out.

Ate brunch on a Sunday here, so I can't speak for other times. Good atmosphere and service. Food was good, not perfect but not everything always can be. Muffins we got were a bit dry and crumbly and there were different varieties of blueberry and banana. Wish we had known that but the server never mentioned it when putting them on the table. Not a lot of options for a small stomach. It seems most brunch options are created for big meals only. There was one smaller option of biscuits and gravy (just white gravy, not a sausage gravy... weird for a Southern comfort food place not to have that...) And lunch options are also geared for a big meal unless you want salad. Chicken and waffles also don't have any syrup option beyond plain-Jane sugar syrup. Not the end of the world but kind of abnormal from my experience with that dish. I know it sounds like I'm dissing this but I'm not, they are the minor niggling points to what was almost a 5-star experience. All the food (minus those muffins) we got was cooked very well and quite tasty.

Tried The 16th for the first time today and was not disappointed. The food quality was some of the best I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Everything was flavored just right. I had the pork tenderloin with crispy brussel sprouts & roasted vegetable melody. Y'all.. I wanted to lick the plate. My wife had a salad that was good also. The pecan pie and Mary Todd pie are fantastic. The prices are a little high (but what isn't these days) the quality makes it worth it. Great Job, Hodgenville needed this. Casual enough for jeans and t-shirt but fancy enough I would be proud to host guest or a date night here. Update: I have been back multiple times now. Some think you may have to travel to New York or Chicago for food so beautifully plated, and that tastes even better than it looks. Would you believe it is in our very own state of Kentucky? Not in Louisville or Lexington where just parking alone would include a tank of gas and a valet or parking garage fee! So, where, you ask..... at the 16th Restaurant right on the square in Hodgenville. We just had a great meal at the 16th where we were treated like special guests, and we enjoyed EVERY bite of our delicious meal. Everything from the atmosphere to the last bite of pie on our fork.... it all was amazing! What items do we recommend? Everything! We loved the crispy burussels and fried catfish cooked perfectly. However, we almost fought over the last bite of the bread pudding that was served warm with ice cream, topped with a bourbon glaze! Don't spend gas, money and time going to a crowded "nice" restaurant in one of those big cities. Stay in our hometown and experience some of the yummiest food at the 16th in Hodgenville!

EXCEPTIONAL! Appetizers are unique and delicious, salads are very fresh with house made ranch that really set it over the top and all of our entrees were to die for! Brian was our server with an amazing service experience as well. 15-20 min from Elizabethtown and WELL worth the drive. We will be frequent guests!
